At LBD, we understand that each individual has different reasons that bring him or her into our studio to dance. We promise to work hard to find the best student/teacher fit to make your experience fun, professional and rewarding.

 

Sam

Sam has been an instructor of Ballroom dance since 1992. Although he teaches all styles of dance, he has won several professional championships in American Smooth. In 2006, Sam and his partner won the World Rising Star Smooth Championship in Las Vegas. He also specializes in West Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, and Salsa, and has enjoyed competing with different partners from 2004 to 2018. He has opened several dance schools, and trained staff and students to become champions as well. Sam enjoys traveling and training others in the art of dance.

Alyssa

Alyssa first started dancing socially in 2017 and started teaching in 2020. She has performed in party demos, showcases & competed in Pro/Am competition with students. She teaches a variety of ballroom smooth, rhythm, and nightclub dances. Along with teaching, she is the Executive Coordinator, Organizer, Ringmaster, Manager, Cat-Herder, Mastermind, Administrator, Overseer, Tactician, Architect, Designer, Captain, Kingpin of the studio! 

Reba

Reba started her ballroom dance journey in her teens. She completely submerged herself into her passion for Latin dancing, and pursued the competitive world of dancing, as well as performing and teaching over the past 20 years. She has also been extremely active in Fitness, as well as mixed martial arts, and gymnastics. She is passionate about being physical and challenging your body/mind through dancing. She enjoys sharing her love of dance with others, while inspiring them to continue to find happiness with the exhilarating finesse of ballroom dancing, whether it be competitively or socially.

Sammy

Sammy has been dancing since he was 7 years old. Both of his parents competed professionally & own dance studios (yes, his dad is Sam, the owner of LBD!). He enjoys dancing, Rubix cubes, and playing guitar.

Sarosh

Sarosh has been dancing and teaching Ballroom since 1992. He has competed in numerous prestigious competitions both in the US and abroad, winning several of the competitions in Amateur, as well as Rising Star and Open Professional Standard Championships. He has trained many students into becoming great competitors, who have won Pro/Am competitions in the US and Canada.

Anthony

Anthony (aka TangoTony) has been a dance teacher for over 10 years. He teaches a variety of socially popular dances including ballroom, Latin, Argentine Tango, and a variety of Swing. His charisma, positive attitude and attention to detail make lessons enjoyable for all levels of dancers, beginner through advanced. He enjoys wine tasting, good company, long walks on the beach and romance novels with Fabio on the cover. 

Francesca

Francesca began her dance journey from a young teenager, she is trained in a variety of dances, from Bolero to Viennese Waltz, and loves to have a Swinging good time. Back in 2007, she took home Bronze, Silver, and Gold in all her 27 performances at Seattle Star Ball. Today, her passion is watching her students evolve from "maybe I can try" to "look what I can do." Through a combination of passion and patience, Francesca brings individualized care to all her students.

Za

Za Thomaier started his dance journey in college.Since then he has trained and competed in a multitude of dances. He has been trained by some of the top trainers, such as Benji Schwimmer, Ry’El Velandia, and Alexandria Hawkins. Za believes that competitive and social are linked and both compliment each other. His desire is to bring the joy of dancing to those who would accept it. As it was brought to him so many years ago.
